As the daughter of David and Julie, Catherine grew up in a home with a constant flow of entertaining and design. Enlisted to help with events, Catherine realized at a very young age how much she enjoyed the entire creative process, like shopping for accessories with her mom or practicing her culinary skills while creating recipes with her dad.
“I like to be creative and make things breathe. I don’t like to do the same as everyone else. I like to be different, unique.”
Catherine graduated from the University of North Texas. She has completed a double major in Fashion Merchandising and Home Furnishings Merchandising, with a minor in Marketing and a certificate in Retailing. Her favorite course work revolved around researching exclusive websites with trend forecasting and predicting trends for fashion and the home. Her artistic strengths can be seen in her visual merchandising projects, such as the art of window displays, where Catherine envisions the design concept and sees it through to completion to reveal a unique and inspiring space.
Catherine interned with the Global Views design team. Upon graduation, that experience prepared her for a position with West Elm as a Lead Stylist. She focused on styling units for luxury apartment complexes.
Growing up in Southlake, Catherine has enjoyed giving back to her community through the following organizations:
Habitat for Humanity Brookwood Group Homes
Art in the Square
Charity fashion show to benefit Haiti relief
Battered Womens’ Shelter
